Predicted Next Role helps expand the field of potential candidates on Rival Search. For example, when you perform a search for a Product Manager, we can identify candidates who might not have the title today but would make for a great candidate. In this instance, we might surface current software engineers, who used to be startup founders. We will still show experienced Product Managers in the results, but this feature will help add to the pool of candidates that you see.

Predicted Next Role is generated by analyzing millions of candidates and the transitions that they’ve made throughout their careers. On top of this large dataset, we also layer in details about their past companies and their years of experience to better adjust their skillset, career growth, and seniority levels. For example, a Data Scientist working at Facebook might be qualified to become Senior Data Scientist at a smaller startup.
