How to increase Completion Rate
Are you getting started and familiar with ConveyIQ New and now you are thinking of the results? Like a digital interview completion rate?
In that case, no worries! ConveyIQ by Entelo team has your back and we are there to support you along the way!
There are a couple of ways you can increase the digital interview completion rate. Here are some tips from us that have proven quite effective.
1. Communication
You may already know, but the way we communicate is very important, especially in written communication. Using a candidate's name in written communication will personalize a message and leave an impression that the email or text message is not generic.
We got you covered here since you can use our smart fields for this. To find our smart fields in ConveyIQ New, you can refer to the following screenshots:
Email:

SMS:

We always suggest that both be used so the candidate doesn't miss an important update from you.
You can also use Reminders. In ConveyIQ New, you get to decide if you would like the candidates to receive reminders or not to complete their digital interview. The candidate may be busy, but they wouldn't have applied if they didn't want to work for you! Help them out by sending them reminders. You can find the reminders at the end of each template under Interview Messages. Here is the screenshot:

We suggest sending no more than two reminders to the candidate.
2. Politeness!
Remember, being nice and approachable can take you a long way! It's always positive to thank applicants for the effort they have made in applying for your position. With this act, you can show that you care for the candidate and their effort and you represent yourself and the company in a great light!
3. Provide all essential details
Candidates don't know the hiring process or the deadlines set right off the bat. It is a good idea to help them by pointing out the essential details that are required for them and their hiring process. The following can help:
a) What can they expect from the digital interview
Some candidates may have not had a chance to experience the digital interview, so it is a good idea to give them a heads up along with an explanation of what kind of questions they can expect. As for the technical side, you can share with them our article on how to conduct the digital interview: How to conduct On-Demand Interview.
b) Time required for them to complete the questionnaire
We always recommend providing the candidates with the deadline for their digital interview! This way, they can organize themselves personally and give them enough time to present themselves in the best light! Our suggestion would be 72 hours.
c) Who is reviewing the interview
Let a candidate know in advance who is reviewing their digital interview and having them send a message of encouragement can ease the nerves of candidates! Remember, this way, by contacting the candidate, you are also representing your company in a good light!
d) When can they expect the feedback
Through feedback - we grow! Let the candidate know that you will reach out to them with feedback can encourage the candidate to go through the digital interview, no matter the outcome. If they get hired - yay! If not, you will show what is it that you expect from your candidates and what is it that they can work on. This can also encourage the candidates to apply again.
4. Technical difficulties? Help!
It can be really frustrating to want a position, but all of a sudden something goes wrong! What should a candidate do?! No worries! Our ConveyIQ Support Team by Entelo is already ready to hop in and help!

5. Brand Assets
Leave your company's mark in the communications with the candidates. The communication sent to them also represents your company! With ConveyIQ New, you don't have to upload a logo every single time. You can simply utilize the Brand Assets tab in ConveyIQ and upload your logo there. That logo will then be shown in all the communications if you set it. Here is where you can find Brand Assets in ConveyIQ New:

Whenever you see the following image in communications, know that that is where the logo will go:

6. Introduction & Closing Video and message
This introduction video and closing video and message is what the candidates will see before they start their digital interview and once they are done with it. We suggest that you record yourself with some encouraging words for the candidate and what they can expect in the digital interview. Feel free to use emojis or GIFs to relax a candidate a bit and up a smile on their faces!
7. Questions
Let your candidates get to know you more by recording the video questions and using them instead of text questions! We suggest you use these video questions, especially when asking about the candidate's work experience etc.
This way, candidates will feel closer to the company that they are applying and they will be seeing the faces of the employees. Smile and hit that record button!
We also suggest not adding too many questions in digital interviews as it can affect the candidate's performance and they will not be able to present themselves in the best light. We don't want to wear out the candidates!
We suggest that you give them around 3 minutes to answer.
We also suggest utilizing our retries. Help the candidate out with their digital interview! The candidate may be nervous on the first take and adding a retry may help them to present themselves in the best light. We suggest giving candidates around two re-tries. However, it still depends on the question being asked!
8. Candidate Survey
You don't trust that these tips will work? They do! You can also test it out by letting the candidates know in advance that they can rate a whole experience afterward through a candidate survey.
You can also use candidate surveys to measure candidate satisfaction and collect candidate feedback in order to improve the recruitment process.
The end! We hope the tips were helpful! Best of luck with your candidates!
