Survey Template

A Survey Template is the definition of the Survey questions and the response type. It's also the place where Survey related communications can be customized.

Currently, the client cannot create new Survey Templates. Every client will have access to the default Candidate Survey Template that we provide under the Library Page.

The default Candidate Survey Template is populated with content that can be used as a Candidate Satisfaction Survey.

The client can customize the default survey questions and therefore change its use to something they need.

The Template can be used, in the same way as all the other templates, with a Survey Instruction in the Journey stage plan.

Candidate Survey Questions

The Survey is composed of two questions:

  • Question: the actual Survey question that has a numerical response of 1 to 5 scale type.
  • Comment Question: the additional comment question for the candidate to provide more feedback on the given rate. The response to Question two is textual.

Default questions text:

  • Question: "How was your overall candidate experience?"
  • Comment Question: "Can you tell us a little more about your experience?"

The question text can be customized at any point and saved. Once changed, it will not be possible to revert to the default text.

Whenever the question text is changed and saved a new Survey Template version is created, for more details read the last section of the page called 'Template Versions'.

Survey Messages

These are the messages that the candidate will receive when they enter the stage for which they have to take Survey using this template.

All the messages are mandatory to be set except the 'Reminders' - as they can be turned on and off.

Each message has a default channel type (Email / SMS) and content provided by Convey. The content can be edited and SMS channels can be added or removed. The email channel is required.

  • Invitation- This message invites the candidate to take the Survey by providing a link to the survey app. It will be auto-sent as soon as the job application has reached the 'Send Survey' step in the Journey. It's default channels are both email and SMS making sure the candidate receives the invitation and sees it.
  • Reminders- This message reminds the candidate to complete their Survey. It can be turned off in case recruiters do not want it to be sent. The Reminder message will go out according to the setup: every X days - repeating N number of times from the moment the interview is in 'Invited' state and when the Invitation is sent.
