Response Saving Time in the digital interview
Are you having difficulties saving your responses in your digital interview? Is the saving process (circling) taking too long or is it failing? In this article, we will provide you with steps that can help you speed up the response saving time.
Before we start, what you should know is that there are no app constraints when it comes to saving responses. In the other words, saving time is fully dependent on your connection. It can take 5 minutes at most to save a response, however, if your connection is weaker it can take longer to save a response, or the saving can fail and show a retry option in the error message.
Below, you will find troubleshooting steps for Mobile Devices and Desktop Devices.
Mobile Devices
- Make sure that you have a strong WiFi signal and that your Mobile Network is turned off. When both networks are turned on, the connection can go from one to another which can cause a delay in saving responses or failing to save a response. In addition, mobile network is dependent on network reception. The weaker the reception, the weaker the mobile network is, thus the mobile network is unstable for the purpose of the digital interview.
- WiFi as an internet connection can fluctuate. This doesn't mean that your connection is weak, but it means that at the moment there are fluctuations and that can happen with a WiFi connection. This can be resolved if you restart your WiFi router. We strongly suggest that you use your private WiFi connection and not public WiFi. Public WiFi can be used by a lot of people which means that a signal can be weaker. With private WiFi, this is not the case, unless there are too many devices connected to a private WiFi network. You can also disconnect some devices and try again.
Desktop Computers or Laptops
- The first thing to do is to make sure that you have a strong WiFi signal. If you are experiencing saving difficulties with WIFi, then restarting your WiFi should help. As mentioned, WiFi as an internet connection can fluctuate. This doesn't mean that your connection is weak, but it means that at the moment there are fluctuations and that can happen with a WiFi connection. This can be resolved if you restart your WiFi router.
- Like for the mobile devices, please connect to a private WiFi connection and not a public WiFi.
- Cache and cookies can affect internet performance. Clearing cache and cookies from your browser can help improve performance.
- WiFi performances can be affected as well in case there are too many devices connected to the WiFi network. It is a good idea to disconnect some of your other devices from WiFi to improve the connection.
If you are still experiencing difficulties despite these steps taken, then we can only suggest that you find a stronger WiFi signal to complete the digital interview.
Best of luck with your digital interview and the hiring process!
