Add employees
When you add an employee, the information collected varies based on the employee's function within the system. An employee who will complete tasks on behalf of another employee requires team membership, assignment categories values, and more. An employee whose only purpose is to benefit from a work event likely does not need team membership, assignment categories, and so on.
Information collected can be customized for your Rival Workflow implementation. Rival Support can add custom fields based on your request. Custom fields are visible in the Employee Profile section of the Employee Details page. Employee Profile fields can also be included in your task and notification definitions. Your employee can view custom employee profile fields in the Task Detail page, task descriptions, and notifications. An Employee Profile Edit page can be added to your event portal (by Rival Implementation as part of the portal development).

Employee information sections
Use the Add Employee page to manually enter employee identification information. Entering information here is the first step in completing the Employee Profile. Complete the following sections:
- Details — Required fields: name, login ID, email. The employee's basic identity in the system.
- Employee Profile — Custom fields configured for your implementation. Visible on the Employee Details page and available for use in tasks and notifications.
- Teams — Assign the employee to one or more teams. Team membership determines privileges and task assignment scope.
- Assigned Categories — Category values used for task matching when an event is launched.
- Key Properties — Additional employee attributes used for reporting and segmentation.
Add Event
Select a work event for this employee. Tasks are generated based on the event and category assignments. Events apply to new users who will benefit from tasks being created on their behalf. Employees who are typically entered as new users without work events are assignees, managers, and internal systems support.
Notes
Free-text notes about the employee. Visible to administrators only.
