Export/Import event definitions

Technical users (implementation, support, product engineers) use this feature to copy event and task definitions (and their dependencies) from one product instance to another.

You must have the Manage Definition privilege to export/import event definitions. The privilege is not assigned to any team by default.

Data migration requirements

  • Destination (production) installation has not had any onboarding system settings adjusted.
  • Destination (production) installation has not had any events launched (there are no user events for any events in the destination).
  • User acceptance testing completed in staging and the production system is expected to work exactly in the same manner.
  • Best practice: Source and destination should be on the same release version.

Note: Configuration and some settings changes will have been made as part of implementation that will need to be reflected in the destination (production) installation. E-Verify specific settings cannot be set to production values in a staging installation.
