Add a rule to automatically change job posting status
- If enabled, Rival Recruit can now automatically change a job's posting status based on rules that you create.
- After you create a rule and save the job posting, the rule takes effect after midnight of the day that was selected for the rule once the system has processed all status changes for that day.
- Twenty four hours before a job posting's status is set to change, an email notification is sent to the recruiter, recruiter manager, and hiring manager associated with the job. A confirmation email is also sent to those same users once the rule is enforced.
- You can only edit or delete a rule if that rule has not been enforced yet.
- While creating a job posting or creating a requisition, scroll to Status Change Rules field in the Job Information section (job posting) or Requisition Information section (requisition).
- Click Add a rule.
- From the Change the status to drop-down, select a posting status.
- From the On date field, select the date for the status change to occur.
- Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each rule you want to add.
Tip: Create the rule in chronological (date) order.
Example: Let's say that you set the Posting Status to Hold on September 12. You want that status to change to Internal on September 14 and then to External on September 21. Here's what you would do. Click Add a rule. From the Change the status drop-down, select Internal and for the On date, select September 14. Click Add a rule. From the Change the status drop-down, select External and for the On date, select September 21.
