Evergreen jobs

Evergreen jobs are positions that are always open at your organization. They are typically jobs for which you have many employees in the same role or may have a high turnover rate. Hiring managers are constantly looking for candidates for evergreen jobs.

Key info

• In Rival Recruit, an evergreen job is when an administrator or recruiting manager role creates a new job posting and selects the Evergreen Job option on the Create Job Posting page.
• Once the evergreen job is created, the system automatically creates a cloned evergreen job posting whenever the evergreen job is closed upon hiring an applicant.
• The cloned evergreen job contains all the details of the original evergreen job posting but has a different tracking code and Job ID. This means that it is a newly posted job (including when posted to third-party job boards).
• A system settingcontrols which hiring stages (and applicants tied to the original evergreen job posting) are moved to the cloned evergreen job.

Good to know

• If an evergreen job posting is no longer needed, it can be permanently closed.
• The Evergreen Job Postings report shows information about a selected evergreen job posting and all the evergreen job postings that were cloned from that original evergreen job.
• The Time to Fill report can be filtered to include or exclude evergreen jobs.
