Internal Career Site Flag

Internal career sites (e.g., for internal mobility or career pathing) automatically block discovery and indexing by search engines. The system applies indexing restrictions to all pages on the site, preventing them from appearing in public search results.

This is an automatic protection — if your organization has an internal career site, no action is required.

How it works

  • All newly provisioned internal CX sites have the Internal Career Site flag enabled by default.
  • Existing internal CX sites have been retroactively flagged.
  • The flag applies globally to all pages: portal landing page, search results, job detail pages, application forms, and all other CX routes.

Disable the flag

If you need to convert an internal career site to a public-facing site (allowing search engine indexing), you can disable the flag:

  1. Navigate to CX Admin > Site Settings.
  2. Locate the Internal Career Site toggle.
  3. Set the toggle to Off.
  4. Save your changes.

When disabled, indexing restrictions are removed and search engines can discover and index the site normally.

Note: This flag does not affect existing Tracking Pixel configurations or robots.txt settings. Both features operate independently.
