Feedback module overview

Feedback is the exchange of information between employees within an organization. It typically includes information about expected performance and actual performance. Feedback is an ongoing, two-way conversation.

While employees and managers typically provide feedback to each other, Perform can allow anyone to give feedback to anyone. Feedback can also be requested from anyone within the organization.

What you can do in the Feedback module

  • Give feedback to another employee.
  • Request feedback from another employee.
  • Respond to feedback requests assigned to you.
  • View feedback you’ve given or received.
  • Add comments to feedback threads.
  • Use the Journal to record notes for yourself (and, for managers, about team members).

Visibility and permissions

Feedback access is controlled by administrator settings and role-based permissions.

  • Employees can give or request feedback from anyone in the organization—unless feedback is restricted to managers only.
  • Managers can typically give and request feedback across the organization, but may be limited to direct reports and downline employees based on admin configuration.
  • Both the feedback sender and recipient can add comments.
  • Managers can view feedback their team members have given or received.
  • HR administrators can view feedback company-wide and access summary counts for feedback activity (for example, feedback given and feedback requested).

Where to start

Use the Feedback module from the left navigation, or select the Feedback card from the Dashboard Summary (if available).
